REEDLEY, Calif. – Reedley College will begin it inaugural women’s soccer season under the leadership of coach Onesta Francis. Francis brings a wide array of coaching experience to the Reedley program. He began his career as an assistant coach and student liaison at Thomas Danby College in Leeds, England. After one season in England, Onesta came to California to serve as an assistant coach to the men’s teams at Fresno City College and Bullard High School. In 2009, Onesta took over the girls’ varsity program at Bullard High School. During his time at the helm of the Bullard program, Francis led the team to seven league titles and two valley championships. He was named CMAC Coach of the Year seven times and was recognized as Fresno Bee Coach of the Year twice. Francis holds two master’s degrees in education and coaching.
Reedley College women’s soccer team will kick off their inaugural season this fall. Games are tentatively scheduled to take place at the Immanuel Sports Complex.
